This shot shows the two different paint schemes for the Gandalf the White figure. The WHITER figure was available only in Australia with no known reports of this figure anywhere else in the world.	This Frodo figure was offered for a VERY SHORT TIME when Two Towers Series 1 first hit the market. This figure commands a very high price despite it being a repack!

This shot shows the 2 different versions of the Sting sword that came on the Frodo with Light-up Sting. Through thorough research, we found that a date stamp on or before 35002 will have the Green/Yellow LED, while a date stamp of 35002 or later will have the BLUE LED. Both versions have been found with a 35002 date stamp, so that was the date of the change to the updated version..

This shot shows the 2 different versions of the Helm's Deep Aragorn figure. The first version has the more normal dirty pant legs while the second version has a odd completely BLACK pair of pants.

This shot shows the 2 different versions of the Twilight Ringwraith figure. The shot on the left is the older and rarer version with the dark sword handles. The shot on the right is the updated version with the more silver handles.A date stamp on or before 35002 will have the black sword handles, while a date stamp of 35002 or later will have the silver sword handles. Both versions have been found with a 35002 date stamp, so that was the date of the change to the updated version.

This shot shows the 2 different versions of the Prologue Elven Warrior. This figure was initially released without a Cape, as shown in the picture on the right. Later production runs corrected the error and placed the cape on the figure as shown on the left.

This shot shows the 2 different versions of the Twilight Frodo figure. The difference lies in the eye of the beholder. Some of the TW Frodo figures lack the gold paint around the index finger of the left hand...while all later versions appear to HAVE the GOLD paint representing the presence of the One Ring! THis is a much debated variant...more as we learn!

 

This shot shows the 2 different backgrounds on the TTT Series 4 Gollum figure. The older version has the common Tan/Beige background, while later assortments have the yellow background as seen in the top shot.

 

This shot shows the 2 tough finds for the Two Towers line. Again, these are repacks (Boromir is slightly different and comes with a new DAGGER accessory). The Boromir figure was available for a short time through Amazon.com as part of a Two Towers Bundle. Both figures were considered Australian Exclusives. The Gimli figure remains exclusive to Australia!

Sauron is also known to come with both Gold and Silver rings...appears to be simple luck or chance if you get a baggie with silver rings in it...not necessarily a variant, but worth noting!
