TheGD.com was born as simply The Green Dragon (via an earthlink web hosting package). Before The Fellowship of the Ring hit theaters in 2001, the toy industry was in a back lash and LOTR collectibles were a hard thing to find. After release of the first installment in Peter Jackson's epic trilogy, LOTR collectibles and toys hit the market with much nervous anticipation...during this time, I looked for a site with as much LOTR toys and collectible coverage as the folks at Rebelscum.com did for Star Wars. Well, there was basically nothing to choose from that was specific to the toys and collectibles like I wanted. That was the though process that pushed me to create TheGD.com.

Today, we are on the verge of the year 2007 and TheGD.com continues to bring the latest news on Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Marvel, Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter, and tons more! We strive to complete our Lord of the Rings archives down to the most minute detail, but was have also ventured out and broadened our horizon to cover even more mythical, fantasy, and medieval toys and collectible lines. While we strive everyday to add new content to our archives (aside from news), we always seem to miss something. But that is the plight that we have chosen to face in developing this community for all to enjoy. Our goal is to have the latest and greatest information on everything fantasy and medeival. From what is coming, to what is out, to where to find that long lost collectible or action figure.

We are continually changing the layout and format, so please be patient as we attempt to make it easier to navigate the sight to find that most interesting little gold nugget...you never know...it may bring you your holy grail!
