The Armies of Middle-earth: WAVE 2

The Green Dragon is proud to present a little taste of Play Along's Armies of Middle-earth. Play Along was kind enough to send us a few samples to share with you and here you have it. This second wave of the Armies of Middle-earth includes a new series of Deluxe Horse sets as well as a new wave of Soldiers and Scenes. You can see some press shots in our archives and the pictures shown here will also be available in the archives, but we wanted to share these initial shots with you as a special feature. Play Along continues to outdo themselves with these sets and continues to surprise with their quality of detail and paint application in such a small scale.

First up is the Attack at Amon-Hen Soldiers and Scenes pack with Boromir, Merry, and Pippin as they appear at Amon Hen. This set offers a very detailed rendition of each figure. Each figure comes with a removable sword/dagger and a base and each is posed ready to do battle.. The figures are articulated at the head and arms. The base for Merry has a tree stump added to it showing Play Along's attention to detail with these figures.

Next is the Mordor Orc Soldiers and Scenes 3-pack. This set includes Grishnakh, Snaga, and an Orc Scout. These figures are great and have superior detailing for such small scale. Each has articulated arms and comes with a perfectly scaled Mordor-rusted and antiqued blade. The coloring on Grishnakh is a bit orange, but the details on the figure more than pake up for this small detraction. Check outt he photos!

Lastly, is the second Warg Rider on a Warg Beast. This set is awesome and the rider is removable. He comes in a grean tinted skin color much like the movie. The detail on the weapon, Warg, Rider, and the base is great. The Warg looks as detailed as the Toybiz Warg and it is a MUCH SMALLER rendition of the Wolves of Isengard. Check out these sweet shots:

Special thanks to Play Along for developing such an awesome product. Look forward to more special features on recently released items in the future at The Green Dragon!
