The GREEN DRAGON Closing It's Doors!!

Trust me when I say, this is a mixed bag of emotions for me. I have developed and sunk countless hours into The Green Dragon since 2001. But the RIDE is only beginning...I HOPE!

I have long felt that the NAME of the site, while unique in it's own nature, limited the scope of the site. The Green Dragon, as most folks know, is a well-known gathering establishment in the little town called Hobbiton in the Shire! When we started the site back in early 2001, we focused ONLY on The Lord of the Rings and concentrated on getting that line well archived, detailed, and inventoried. While we still make every effort to gather information about Lord of the Rings toys, collectibles, and games, we have branched out WAY beyond this early scope. To that end, I have decided to re-launch the site under a new domain...

Toy Figure Times

While much of the site will remain the same (format-wise), I hope that the name change will capture a bit better what I am trying to accomplish...news, information, and DETAILED archives on all your favorite lines of toys and collectibles! So, with a sad heart I must say goodbye to The Green Dragon...but I am proud to say, that because of the many people who called The Green Dragon home...we are able to make this move to something a bit more streamlined and in the right scope fo the site as a whole.

Thanks to all who have been a part of The Green Dragon family...time to become one with TFT!

Toy Figure Times will launch officially on 1 July 2008...and coverage of SDCC will begin with a BANG. We have some AWESOME contests in store for the site's Grand Opening...with awesome prizes from Mezco Toys, Play Along Toys, Sideshow Collectibles, WETA Collectibles, and TONS MORE!
